About Wollywood

Wollywood is an online shop for handicrafts that emerged from stationary specialist shops

In December 1991, the wool shop in Bad Oldesloe was taken over by the married couple Christian & Susanne Peters.
With the philosophy of "success through passion at work", the range has been expanded and the store has been comfortably redesigned.

In 1998, the first internet presence was created, which was originally intended as a pure advertising measure.
With shop window photos online, knitting fans should find Wollywood better.
As a result, the first wool fans asked whether it was possible to have articles from the WOLLYWOOD range sent to them.

Although there was hardly any experience with online shops at that time, the Wollywood shop was born after the installation of an order form.
What was initially an additional business via simple mail inquiries and telephone orders became part of everyday Wollywood life.

In 2002, Wollywood was even one of the nominated companies
of the GERMAN INTERNET PRIZE with the topic: "Added-value-oriented company presentation on the Internet".

This success confirmed the orientation and the concentration on the new business field.
The top priority of having a reliable quality in the product range and always being there with expert advice remained.

In 2012, the shipping warehouse was set up separately in the industrial area.
A modern shop system with storage software made it possible to ship much more sustainably and faster.

In 2013, the shop was relocated to a central location on the market square in Bad Oldesloe.
Since 2018, only online trading has been carried out, with the exception of occasional warehouse sales.

Since the summer of 2021, WOLLYWOOD has been in the hands of the next generation.
The descendants Manuel Peters and Anna Fries are now running the business with the same passion as their parents before them.
